How to clean contaminants out of the air
Source Capture - Pollutants are captured at the source of where they are being made through the use of hoods and enclosures. Source capture provides the most effective means of controlling Dust, Mist or Smoke. Source capture provides worker protection, as the air is drawn away from the workers' breathing zone.
Ambient Collection - The air in the area can be cleaned by cycling it through high efficiency air filters. Air cleaners placed strategically in the area being cleaned, set up an air pattern where contaminants are removed from the air and cleaned air recirculated.
Cleaned air from Source Capture systems can be recirculated into the plant, depending on the application and what the contaminant is.
